Another year, another chance to celebrate this year's April 20 the classic way, by satiating the munchies. Austin is prepared for an exciting holiday in the form of festive food and drinks so whether you want to be loud and proud about your love for 4/20 or just dip your toes in, this city has a little something for everyone.

Here are just a few of the eateries catering to add to your pot of places to visit.

Burro Grilled Cheese Kitchen

Who doesn't crave a classic grilled cheese sandwich when they've got the munchies? Burro Grilled Cheese Kitchen serves up the gourmet comfort food of your dreams, from the "Burning Mac," a mac-and-cheese stuffed grilled cheese, to the "Long Tall Texan," with brisket and pineapple sauce. But nothing beats the "Walyon & Willie." Named for Austin's most famous stoner, Willie Nelson, and his shared album with Waylon Jennings, this onion, pepperoncini and maple bacon sandwich is the perfect way to honor Austin on 4/20.

Cheba Hut

Bringing all things 4/20 to one place, Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs, unabashedly known for its marijuana-themed drinks and subs, is selling its signature "nugs" and "Liquid Marijuana" cocktails and shots for $4.20 each on April 20. Come for the grub but stay for the vendors that are coming into the shop to give out free goodies!

Flamingo Hemp

If you would rather spend the day with THC's milder cousin, CBD, Flamingo Hemp makes CBD-infused baked goods, coffees, tonics and even sells hemp flower by itself. You can have a chill 4/20 without getting too chill, if you catch my drift.

Insomnia Cookies

Satisfying your sweet tooth, Insomnia Cookies started its 4/20 snack prep with a new cosmic-esque brownie, with chocolate cookie butter and rainbow sprinkles. That isn't all though—Insomnia plans to unveil a special sweet in honor of the holiday.

Kinda Tropical

If it's a little too difficult for you to celebrate on a Tuesday, head to Kinda Tropical this Saturday or Sunday for brunch. The CBD Waffle, made with Kinda Tropical tincture and served with maple syrup, is just as fancy as the iron it is made in. With an extensive drink selection and a menu fit for people with any kind of dietary needs, this restaurant is making 4/20 an inclusive one.

Prohibition Creamery

Cross your interests by celebrating with a boozy, creamy creation—this cheeky creamery sells ice cream fit for those 21 and older. Of the nine rotating flavors including Prickly Pear Mezcal and Whiskey Chocolate, Prohibition Creamery is currently offering two CBD-infused flavors: Black Magic, which is charcoal and CBD flavored, and Afternoon Delight. Don't forget to enjoy the cocktail menu while you're there!

Voodoo Doughnuts

While Voodoo's famous Maple Blazer Blunt donut is available year-round, the deliciously elaborate confections chain is doing something a little off the beaten path in celebration of April 20 this year: the Ramen Bowl donut. The 4/20-inspired ring donut is glazed with soy sauce, topped with crushed ramen noodles, dried chives and generously drizzled with Sriracha. According to its Instagram, this wacky pastry is sweet, savory and perfect for taking care of your munchies.

Police have arrested one of two suspects involved in a mass shooting at Austin's Sixth Street in the early morning hours on Saturday, leaving 14 people injured and two in critical condition.

The arrest was made by the Austin Police Department and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. One suspect is still at large.

Police started receiving 911 phone calls at 1:24 a.m about a man that fired shots into a large crowd, and responded to a chaotic scene on the 400 block of East Sixth Street. Detectives are surveying video footage captured by bystanders and cameras on the scene to identify the suspect.

The Austin Police Department has narrowed down their search to two male suspects and believes there was "some type of disturbance" between the two parties.

No deaths have been reported. Fourteen victims are receiving treatment in a hospital in stable condition with one treated in an emergency room; two are in critical condition.

According to Interim Police Chief Joseph Chacon, "almost all" of the victims are innocent bystanders but police have not ruled anyone out at this time.

The shooting occurred on the weekend of the Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally. With lots of people downtown, police say it was difficult to get EMS in and out of the scene. Police arrived while the scene was still an "active threat," officers "immediately began lifesaving measures" and drove six victims to the hospital in their squad cars, said Chacon, and four were transported in ambulances.

Chacon said that the incident is believed to be isolated, and they optimistic they will be successful in getting the two suspects into custody. Multiple departments, including APD, the FBI, Texas DPS and the ATF, are involved in the investigation.

Austin police are also requesting state troopers for patrol assistance in the coming days. Chacon stressed staffing issues are increasingly making responding to emergency calls "very hard."

"Overall, we remain a safe city," Chacon said. "Also keep in mind when you come downtown, you need to be safety conscious. Be vigilant of your environment and your surroundings."

Today marks the five-year anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shooting in which 49 were killed and 53 wounded in Orlando, Florida. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call 911 or 512-472-TIPS.
