Austin ISD shut down its athletic and conditioning camps in the face of a surge of COVID-19 cases.


The district as a whole follows several individual AISD schools and a number of local districts and schools—including Round Rock ISD and Hays CISD—that have already closed down summer athletics.

Travis County continues to report high daily totals for new coronavirus cases, while average hospitalization rates in the region climb.
