UPDATED 8/9: Locals say the new studio is in a home on Lake Austin in Austin, Texas.

Rumors are circulating that podcast comedian Joe Rogan is moving to Austin, an idea he's floated on his show.


Rogan, who recently landed a deal with Spotify reportedly worth $100 million, began talking about a move to Texas in May as California continued its coronavirus-related shutdowns. Some on Twitter have said they've seen him house-hunting in Austin.

Rogan came under fire last week when a 2011 video surfaced of him laughing while comedian Joey Diaz describes coercing women into oral sex.

Rogan did not respond to the controversy, although he did retweet a video from Diaz in which Diaz discusses his other sexual exploits.
