Dicker the Kicker's very good day
texassports.com

Early last week former Longhorn kicker Cameron Dicker was at home in Austin. Cut by the Rams and then by the Ravens, he was watching the season on tv rather than on the field or the sideline.

But his fortunes changed. Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles called. Tuesday, he was in Philly showing them what he could do. Wednesday, he was signed to the Eagles' practice squad.

On Sunday, the guy who had never kicked in a regular season NFL game was the Eagles' starter, filling in for injured kicker Jake Elliott, a key player in a high-pressure game for the undefeated Philadelphia team against the Arizona Cardinals.

Cameron knocked in two extra points in the first half and hit a 42-yard field goal in the third quarter.

With 1:48 left in the game and the score tied at 17, Cameron was sent in to hit a 23-yard field goal, with the game on the line. He made the kick to put the Eagles ahead 20-17.

Cardinals kicker Matt Ammendola missed a chance to tie the game with seconds left, and the Eagles kept their perfect record, thanks in part to the leg, heart and nerves of Cameron Dicker, the Kicker.
