More thunderstorms take over Austin this week

(Claire Partain/Austonia file photo)

It's the unofficial start of summer, but it hardly feels like June in Austin with nonstop rain here to stay throughout the week.

This week's forecast shows rain every day this week:

Tuesday- Showers expected before 10 a.m.; 50% chance of thunderstorms at night.

Wednesday- High chance of thunderstorms all day with up to half an inch of rainfall.

Thursday- A calm morning is expected to lead to thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Friday- Afternoon showers are expected but should clear up by the evening.

Saturday- Storms coming into Central Texas for the full day.

Sunday- More rain and storms to finish out the week, but the forecast could change in a heartbeat.

High temperatures will stay in the mid-80s all week with lows in the high 60s. Winds are not expected to reach above 5 mph.
