Finally, the winter storm that affected all of Texas with power, water and gas outages is subsiding after Thursday, but Austin is experiencing one more snow day first.

A blanket of fresh snow is laying over Austin with freezing rain, snow and sleet expected until 3 p.m. The high for the day is 32 degrees with a low of 18 degrees tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

The bulk of Thursday's winter storm will be seen in the Southwest area of the state in Del Rio.

Sunny skies are expected on Friday and through the rest of the weekend with temperatures warming up to a high of 59 degrees by Sunday.
