In its ongoing effort to convince voters to approve the $7.1B Project Connect transit plan this November, CapMetro posted a lively video to its social media pages aimed at engaging some of Austin's most enthusiastic and excited residents: soccer fans.

Hoping to reign in anticipation of Austin's Major League Soccer team opening its season in the spring, the Tuesday evening post reminded followers that the project's new rail line would include a stop at the new Austin FC stadium at McKalla Place, in North Austin near the Domain, another stop on the planned line.

The official Austin FC account, as well as supporter groups like Los Verdes, voiced their support on social media for Project Connect.

However, the post was met with some resistance from residents who object to the tax hike that would accompany the transit plan.
