Longhorns Basketball Head Coach Shaka Smart announced he has tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. He posted on social media that he in isolation away from the team and his family.


The announcement comes just before tomorrow's Texas-OU game at the Frank C. Erwin, Jr. Events Center in Austin. A team spokesperson told the Austin American-Stateman Assistant K.T. Turner will be the acting head coach for the game, but no official announcement from the athletics department has been made about the game's status.

Both of the Longhorns basketball games last week were postponed.

Some JuiceLand production facility workers and storefront employees are organizing to demand wage increases, better working conditions (including air conditioning in the warehouse) and pay transparency, among other asks. They are also calling on staff to strike and customers to boycott the Austin-based company until their demands are met.

JuiceLand responded on Saturday. "We are listening," the company wrote on their Instagram story. "JuiceLand crew now makes guaranteed $15 an hour or more companywide."
