(Austonia staff)
Chris del Conte, the University of Texas director of athletics, responded to the calls from student-athletes on Twitter to replace the song "Eyes of Texas" and rename some of its buildings, among other requests.

"I am always willing to have meaningful conversations regarding any concerns our student-athletes have," Del Conte wrote on Twitter. "We will do the same in this situation and look forward to having those discussions."

The athletes compiled a list of requests—included in Del Conte's retweet—that includes replacing the song "Eyes of Texas," renaming some buildings on campus and creating an outreach program, among others.
