Austin to see sunny and warm weather this week with cold nights
(Laura Figi)

Austin residents can expect a week of warm weather, starting today after a cold morning.

While temperatures were in the 40s Monday morning, temperatures are expected to climb to a high around 74 degrees during the day, the National Weather Service reports.

Temperatures are expected to gradually rise through the mid-70s into Thursday, before reaching a high near 80 on Friday. Temperatures tonight and through the rest of the week will dip back down into the 40s at night.

Skies will continue to be clear, forecasters say.

Mortgage banker Chris Holland (NMLS 211033) of Austin's Sente Mortgage ran some numbers for Austonia to illustrate a typical purchase.
